Break Another Silence: Voices and Victories from LGBTI Movements Worldwide

Join leaders from LGBTI movements worldwide for this powerful speakers’ panel profiling victories in the fight for LGBTI rights in countries like Cuba, Vietnam, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, and Canada.

Panelists will include:

- Mariela Castro Espin, Director of the Cuban National Center for Sex Education, president of the Cuban Multidisciplinary Centre for the Study of Sexuality

- Kassem Ikbal Khawaja, the founder of Pakistan's only LGBTI community-based organization in Pakistan, and a leader in successfully advocating for transgender to be legally recognized as a third gender

- Mojalifa Mokoele, program officer with the Sexual Rights Centre in Zimbabwe, and the first openly gay male to be interviewed by Zimbabwean media.

- Nguyen Hai Yen, one of the Vietnam’s leading LGBTI advocates, administrator of Vietnam’s first LBT forum, and project manager with ICS, one of Vietnam’s largest LGBTI organizations
