Applications for performing artists have now closed (deadline: 31 Januay 2014)

Pride Toronto, returning for its 34th fabulous year, has transformed into WorldPride 2014 Toronto! 

  • WorldPride 2014 Toronto (WP14TO) is an exciting 10-day global celebration filled with great entertainment, education and activism. 
  • WP14TO is the first WorldPride event ever held in North America, and the 4th WorldPride celebration held to date (under licence from InterPride).
  • WP14TO brings people together from around the world to honour our past, celebrate the present, and inspire a better future for LGBTTIQQ2SA* communities everywhere.
  • WP14TO celebrates Canada’s continued leadership in LGBTQ equality rights and showcases Toronto as a leading international LGBTQ tourism destination.
  • The theme for WP14TO is “Rise Up” as chosen by the community

Pride Week in Toronto is the third largest Pride celebration in the world and the largest festival in Canada. It takes place over 22 city blocks on 7 stages with hundreds of artists, the Pride Parade, 2 Marches and hundreds of events at venues throughout downtown Toronto. The 2012 festival saw well over one million people celebrating and supporting the lives and stories of Toronto's Queer communities.

Past performers include Cyndi Lauper, En Vogue, Diana King, Corey Hart, Kelly Rowland, Deborah Cox, Mel C, Esthero, Bif Naked, Lesbians on Ecstasy, RuPaul, Thelma Houston, Indigo Girls, Uh Huh Her, Dragonette, The Cliks, Carole Pope, Larry Tee, Sandra Bernhard, Suzanne Palmer, Martha Wash, Ultra Nate, ABC, Wang Chung, Cutting Crew, Missing Persons, Lady Miss Kier, David Morales and Josie Cotton among hundreds of others!

Performers participating in the WorldPride 2014 Toronto (WP14TO) festival have the opportunity to be included in the Official Pride Guide, our website and social networks, coverage through our print, radio and TV partners and targeted marketing by our publicity professionals.

Please let us know how we can make this application more accessible for you. Artists from outside of Canada are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
