THE DYKE MARCH IS LOOKING FOR ACTIVE LISTENERS!

Want to volunteer for this year's Dyke March? Want to learn about active listening? Join us!

SUNDAY, JUNE 23, 12:30-2:30pm
Oakham Lounge, 2nd floor Oakham House, 63 Gould Street, Ryerson University

Active Listeners are an important part in helping to make sure everyone's Dyke March experience is as positive as possible. They also help us acknowledge how complex our expereinces at the March can be and help our dyke communities take care of each other.

While everyone is welcome at this training session, all Active Listeners for the Dyke March will require previous peer support experience.

Training provided by SASSL volunteers (Sexual Assault Survivors' Support Line at York University).

SASSL volunteers are trained in a variety of areas to recognize the diversity that shapes everyday life in the GTA. We know that all types of factors influence people’s lives and choices. SASSL aims to promote equity, and create a space where everyone has a voice that is expressed, heard, recognized and respected equally. From http://www.yorku.ca/sassl

Oakham House is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know how we can make this event accessible for you.
