TORONTO, ON, March 13, 2014 | WorldPride 2014 Toronto (WP14TO) announces Hercules and Love Affair, Crystal Waters and Neon Hitch to join the lineup of performers prepared to take attendees on a musical journey across the more than 25 block festival footprint. Get ready to dance, sing and cheer your way through the streets of Toronto from June 20 -29!

There is always a healthy helping of electronic, house, and dance music at Pride in Toronto, and WorldPride 2014 will continue to deliver. These artists join the previously announced line-up of dance favorites Deborah Cox, Martha Wash and international DJs David Morales, Quentin Harris.

DANCING IN THE STREETS

Dancing in the streets is a political act for the LGBTTIQQ2SA* communities,” says TK, WorldPride 2014 Toronto, Arts and Culture Manager. “It is an expression of joy, of freedom – freedoms often denied to us in communities and countries all around the world."

WorldPride 2014 Toronto is an international celebration incorporating activism, education, and the history and culture of global LGBTTQQ2SA communities. Highlighting Canada’s continued progress in human rights, WP14TO also celebrates the diversity and dynamism of Toronto, one of the world’s most progressive and livable cities.

WorldPride 2014 will present musical genres from rock, pop, dance, hip hop, R&B, country, traditional, folk, retro, disco all live on 10 free-to-attend, all-ages, open-air stages across the festival footprint.

It is also one of the largest Pride celebrations in the world with an estimated attendance of over one million people. It celebrates the history, courage, diversity and future of Toronto's LGBTTIQQ2SA* communities.

*LGBTTIQQ2SA is an abbreviation used to represent a broad array of identities such as, but not limited to, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, intersex, queer, questioning, two-spirited, and allies.
