WorldPride 2014 Toronto Opening Ceremony

Fireworks at City Hall 2008GRAMMY® Award winner Melissa Etheridge joins the festival for the opening ceremonies in a call for unity, peace, love and celebration. Overflowing with unforgettable vocals and music, the event also features GRAMMY®-nominated, multi-platinum selling and multi-talented entertainer Deborah Cox, "All American Boy" Steve Grand, Tom Robinson will be "Glad to be Gay" for the show and the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto Choir with soloist Gavin Hope will present a very special performance for the raising of the rainbow flag.

Ceremonies include the Official Proclamation of Pride Week by the City of Toronto and the raising of the rainbow flag at City Hall (featuring an appearance by Gilbert Baker, the artist who designed the rainbow flag).

Hosted by the always effervescent Deb Pearce alongside special guest hosts. Spectacle, substance and celebration; one incredible night in Nathan Phillip's Square.

Steve is working on his first album.
