DECADES

DECADES

A night of favourite and brand-new songs, shared with artists whose music has inspired thousands of LGBTTIQQ2SA folks around the world.

Carole Pope's forthcoming EP, "Lesbians in the Forest" will be highlighted, alongside of all the top-charting singles that the Rough Trade lead vocalist has released over the years both as a solo artist as well as with the band.
The single, "Lesbians in the Forest" featuring Peaches, is available now on iTunes. (Peaches will be appearing at the same venue the following night as part of the "Venus Rising" lineup.)

The Parachute Club have a new remix of "Rise Up" coming out this June (a remix of "At the Feet of the Moon" is also expected to be released in the coming months). The band's appearance for WorldPride 2014 will be celebrating the anniversary of the song's very first public performance which took place on a Pride Toronto stage in 1983. On the night of this performance (27 June 2014 at Bud Light South Stage) in addition to the many returning members from the original lineup Lynne Fernie, filmmaker and lyricist of "Rise Up" will also be honoured.

Lorraine Segato, lead vocalist for The Parachute Club, also has a new solo offering, "Invincible Decency", slated for release in autumn 2014. www.lorrainesegato.com

Berlin featuring Terri Nunn will also be appearing; recently re-formed and out on the road supporting their irresistably dance-able album, "Animal" (released: September 2013).
